The University of Lethbridge sends its sincere condolences to the family, friends and former colleagues of Professor Emeritus Dean Blair, who passed away on April 8 at the age of 90.
Blair joined ULethbridge as a professor in music theory and composition in 1970. Over the next 25 years, Blair dedicated himself to teaching, composing and serving as Chair of the department for nine years. Twice nominated for the Distinguished Teaching Award, Blair was popular with his students.
During his career, Blair wrote more than 200 musical compositions, one of which was performed for Queen Elizabeth during one of her Canadian tours.
Blair and his wife, Mimi, retired to Victoria in 1995.

In honour of Blair, ULethbridge will lower its flags on Monday, April 25.
