The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Paul Rusznak, who passed away April 5 at the age of 87.
Rusznak served on the University Senate from 2001 to 2007. He was born and raised in southern Alberta, moving from Monarch to Lethbridge when he was a young boy. His career included working at Black’s Men’s Wear, eventually becoming co-owner. After he sold the business in the mid-1980s, Rusznak became a salesman at College Ford, a career he excelled at.
He was also someone who served his community. Rusznak was a longtime member of the Lethbridge Country Club and belonged to both the Kinsmen and Kiwanis clubs, in addition to being a member of the ULethbridge Senate.
An obituary is available online at Martin Brothers Funeral Chapels.
In Rusznak’s honour, the University will lower its flags on Monday, April 11.
