Flex your Pronghorn pride this weekend at the 1st Choice Savings Centre for Sport and Wellness as the University of Lethbridge Pronghorns men’s basketball team hosts the first round of the Canada West playoffs.

The three-day tourney tips off with three games Thursday, followed by another set of three games on Friday. Both days will see games at 4, 6 and 8 p.m.

The Horns, who swept their final two regular season games last week at Grant MacEwan University, earned third place in the Canada West Central Division with an 8-8 record, and a bye to Friday night’s action. As the seventh seed of the 17 teams, they will battle the winner of Thursday’s tilt between University of Manitoba and University of British Columbia Okanagan at 8 p.m.

Should the Horns prevail, they’ll meet University of Victoria Vikes in one of four Canada West quarter-finals on Saturday night at 7 p.m.

Four teams will advance to the Canada West Final Four from this weekend's playoff tournament.
