The University of Lethbridge is saddened and appalled by the killing of four members of a Muslim family in London, Ontario — an attack that police are describing as deliberate and motivated by hate. We offer our sincere condolences to the family and friends of those killed and injured by this heinous action.
The U of L unequivocally condemns this act of hate. Our institution is home to students and faculty from throughout the world and their contributions to our campus are greatly valued. This event has impacted our community and many of you are grieving today. Our thoughts are particularly with the Muslim community; we are here to support you through this difficult time.
If you are in need of support, I encourage you to access the available resources. Supports for students are available through Counselling Services while employees are urged to access the Employee and Family Assistance Program.
