World Food Day-The Future of Urban Farming

on World Food Day the Centre for Culture and Community (CCC) hosts “The Future of Urban Farming” Thursday evening, Oct. 13 in B-716. Two local experts (Josh Hellawell, Founder of Synergy Urban Farms and Jerry Firth, Neighbourhood Support Coordinator for the City of Lethbridge) will be discussing the future of Urban Farming and the opportunities this presents for all. Refreshments and pre-broadcast activities begin at 6:30. The our guests will present from 7-8pm, which will be carried over the RISE network to public Libraries in Taber, Fort Macleod, and Pincher Creek. Discussion opportunities will follow the presentation. Refreshments provided. The event is sponsored by the Centre for Community and Culture and Chinook Food Connect.
