Research & Clinical Interests

Dr. Massie’s research is focused on better understanding motor behavior and neurophysiological changes associated with stroke to develop interventions that can positively influence recovery. She has investigated the brain’s ability to change and reorganize with potential interventions that combine practicing movements with a form of non-invasive brain stimulation. She also has used motion analysis to determine how different forms of clinical interventions change movement patterns in survivors of stroke.
