Dr. Manek focused his Ph.D. research on the changes in anti-predator responses of fat-head minnows to multiple environmental stressors, with a focus on dissolved organic carbons and UV exposure.
During his post-doctoral appointment at the University of Lethbridge Dr. Manek is working towards developing guidelines for water hardness for the BC, using variety of aquatic invertebrates and cold-water fish as his model species.
