On behalf of Dr. Martha Many Grey Horses, Chair of the U of L TRC Committee, you are invited to join your teaching colleagues on Tuesday, March 22 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in Andy's Place (AH100) for small group discussions on reconciliation and the classroom.
The Calls to Action of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's report include many items relevant to the work of the University, both in terms of research and teaching. In his talk last month, Dr. Leroy Little Bear provided an overview for thinking about approaches to education and teaching in light of the TRC Report. This session will enable instructors to begin talking about what reconciliation means for them and their classrooms. Issues and questions for future discussions will also be identified.
