Abstract:
A discourse analysis of Western and Indigenous Property regimes through the lens of the Ojibway 7 Fire Prophecy. Using a socio-legal perspective, we will explore possible problems and possible solutions to the clash of varying cultural understandings regarding land, property and ownership. We will end looking at Pluralism and whether Canada is truly a pluralistic state. Should Canada be a pluralist state? And how we can achieve or maintain that position?
