South Western Alberta Teachers' Convention Returns to the U of L

This event is from the archives of The Notice Board. The event has already taken place and the information contained in this post may no longer be relevant or accurate.

Every year during reading week, when the students are getting their much needed break, the UofL campus is alive with activity hosting SWATCA. This event hosts over 1,500 teachers from Southwestern Alberta meeting on campus for professional development.

The convention begins on Thursday February 19th at 8:00am with a keynote presentation in the 1st Choice Savings Centre gym.  Sessions are held all over campus and continue throughout the day concluding on Friday at 2:00pm.  This is a closed event, only open to teachers in the area who have registered.

Participants for the convention will be parking in Lot E, Lot M and Lot N.  We apologize in advance for any displacement of regular staff and faculty.  This event is a great way to support our strategic direction of building internal community and enhancing relations with external communities.  Numerous campus departments are involved in making this event successful and every year we are given the opportunity to showcase our campus to those who inspire and influence potential students.

If you have any questions regarding the event please contact Conference & Event Services at cnf@uleth.ca or by calling 403-329-2244.
