With a career at the University of Lethbridge that spans almost two decades, Katherine Wasiak is ready to bid a fond farewell to the Faculty of Fine Arts as she commences her well-deserved retirement. We invite you to join us Friday, June 9, from 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm in Andy’s Place (AH100) to celebrate Katherine’s invaluable contributions to our faculty and to the U of L.
Katherine’s positive energy and passion for the fine arts and the university will be dearly missed. She has enabled the Faculty of Fine Arts to increase its profile by building connections to the community, highlighting our faculty’s work and achievements, and through tireless hours fund and friend-raising. Through her leadership, Abbondànza, the Faculty of Fine Arts annual fundraiser, has built an endowment fund valued at almost $1.5 million - a legacy that will financially support Fine Arts students for generations to come.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our mix-and-mingle event, to share stories and see Katherine off, on to her next chapter, which we hear involves walks on the beach, gardening and being a grandma!
