Do you have employees or students who require Respiratory Fit Testing?
Safety Services is conducting mandatory Respiratory Fit Testing on campus for employees and students who wear or who may wear a respirator for their duties. This includes full or half-face respirators, Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) or N95 respirators. This fit testing is required by Part 18 of the Alberta OHS Code “Personal Protective Equipment” Sections 248 and 250. Fit testing is scheduled for campus on November 27, 2019 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Markin Hall M4142.
If you are a new employee since June 2019 or if you wear a respirator in the workplace and were due in 2019 for testing, please contact your supervisor to discuss and contact Safety Services to request the forms and make appointments needed for this service. safety.services@uleth.ca.
