Starting university means big changes and lots of questions! NSO is a great way for new students to learn about important student services, understand who to ask for supports both in and out of the classroom, and teach students about the academic expectations of being a first year student. We will support students in knowing that what they're experiencing as they begin and continue as a first-year ULethbridge student is normal, and it is manageable. Sometimes, we all need a little help, and we have resources and supports here on campus for every student!
For NSO 2022, students will be in groups with other students in their program major and faculty so they can begin to meet some of the students they'll be learning with this semester! They'll have the chance to tour campus, with special focus on buildings and classrooms where they will be learning, and they don't bring a lunch, it's on us! Students will have the chance to not only start to build friendships with students in their program, they will have the chance to meet their Faculty leadership, instructors and student support teams!
