The Virtual Reality Works of Félix and Paul Studios
Session 1: March 25, 2015; 12:30 to 2 pm
Session 2: March 27, 2015; 9 to 10:30 am
Distinguished alumnus Anil Pereira is a Senior Advisor to Montréal-based Félix and Paul Studios, the leader in 360-degree, 3D, cinematic filmmaking for the new medium of virtual reality (VR). Anil demonstrates 3 amazing VR experiences produced by Félix and Paul Studios that recently premiered at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival. These amazing short films let viewers sit in the studio with musician Patrick Watson as he plays the piano to his dog; roam the Mongolian plains with yak herders; and join an intimate moment between Cheryl Strayed (Reese Witherspoon), and her mother Bobbi (Laura Dern), drawn from the acclaimed feature film Wild, produced by Fox Searchlight.
Free to attend, open to all students.
