On June 21 it is National Indigenous Peoples Day (NIPD), a day to recognize and celebrate the culture and contributions of Indigenous Peoples to communities across Canada. There are many activities planned throughout the community to mark National Indigenous Peoples Week.

Reconciliation Lethbridge has shared a poster which outlines more information, including the opening ceremonies at City Hall on Wednesday, June 21 at 10 a.m. The ULethbridge Iikaisskini Indigenous Services team will be there. All are welcome!

Join us on Tuesday, June 20 at 11 a.m. for NIPD celebrations on campus. There will be a smudge in the Iikaisskini Gathering Centre followed by a round dance and light refreshments in the UHall Atrium.
