Nestled in the coulees along the banks of the Oldman River, the University of Lethbridge is located in the heart of Blackfoot lands.  We are Iniskim, meaning Sacred Buffalo Stone, and are committed to creating a welcoming environment that enhances the University’s unique relationship to the Blackfoot people – past, present and future.

President & Vice-Chancellor Dr. Mike Mahon, Iipisowaahsiiyi, invites you to celebrate the rich cultural heritage, beliefs and relationships of the Blackfoot people at a pipe ceremony as we officially welcome Charles Weaselhead, Taatsiikiipoyii, as the University’s 14th Chancellor.
