Jean-François Delhom - Nobility and Agony of Disappearing Glaciers: Contemplation as Counterpower

The French Language Centre and Department of Modern Languages & Linguistics Present:
Jean-François Delhom - Nobility and Agony of Disappearing Glaciers: Contemplation as Counterpower

Jean-François Delhom is a Swiss landscape photographer and writer whose work bridges art, culture, philosophy and wilderness. A specialist in subglacial exploration, he has published six books since 2001, blending imagery with philosophical reflection. His latest, Glace (Ice), focuses on Swiss glaciers. Committed to ecological responsibility, Delmhom champions slow, local exploration, believing that wonder begins close to home. His work speaks to the dignity of glaciers and invites contemplation rather than distraction or denunciation. It stands as a call to admire and protect the fragile beauty of our world.
