The entire campus is invited to the University Hall Atrium on March 21, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., to take part in activities to celebrate the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. This will be a great opportunity to start conversations, build bridges, and support a changing culture related to a broad range of topics related to equity, diversity, and inclusion. There will also be a special presentation from the Alberta Hate Crimes Committee will also take place.

Schedule for the day:

Thursday, March 21st - UHALL 6th Level Atrium

-          11 a.m. – 12 p.m.: Tables and Displays
-          12 – 1 p.m.: Welcome by President Mahon followed by AHCC presentation
-          1 – 2 p.m.: Tables and Displays

Also that day:

-          2 – 4 p.m.: SNAC+ Equity Workshop (L1168)*

*The equity workshop is being hosted by SNAC+ (Support Network for Academics of Colour Plus ) and is open to any student, staff, faculty and members of the community and aims to develop possible ways of making the post-secondary campus more inclusive and welcoming to everyone. This is part of the RED (Rights, Equity and Diversity) Project funded by the Human Rights Education and Multiculturalism Fund. No registration is required.
