Ian Tyson Reading Area Launch | November 13

The Library invites you to the launch of a new space on Level 10 — the Tyson Reading Area.

In it, you'll find materials bequeathed by honorary ULethbridge degree holder Dr. Ian Tyson (LLD '15), the notable singer-songwriter and southern Alberta rancher who passed away in 2022.

This space houses the majority of his donation, focusing on the topics of southern Alberta, ranching, and music; other books have been added to both our main and special collections.

Several of these items have been inscribed by the authors to Tyson, and many personal treasures were found within their pages — some of which are also on display in the Tyson Reading Area.

We look forward to you joining us as we dedicate this space in Dr. Tyson's honour.
