Dr. Samuels is an expert in plant cell biology, using live-cell microscopy and imaging to study the dynamics of plant cell trafficking and secretion.  Her work has provided insight into unique and critical plant processes including xylem and fibre lignification, secretion of cell wall polysaccharides, pollen exine and tapetum formation, and wax deposition.   For additional information, see Dr. Samuel's website:  http://samuelslab.blogspot.ca/
