Dr. HAROLD JANSEN, Professor in the Department of Political Science

will deliver this talk on WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 3rd from 12noon until 1:30 p.m. in TH-204

In the last two decades, we have witnessed a communications revolution that has provided unprecedented access to information and opportunities to interact with political actors.  Some argue that this could reinvigorate democratic citizenship while others argue that it will merely reinforce existing patterns of political engagement.  Although we know a great deal about what Canada's political elites do online, we know far less about what citizens are doing in their digital political lives.  This talk will present findings from a survey of over 2,000 Canadians that is the first to explore this question in depth.
