Crossing Boundaries: Keynote Conversations in Fine Arts - Hannah Claus

Hannah Claus’ installations have been exhibited in artist-run centres and public museums throughout Canada, United States, Switzerland, Germany, Chile and Mexico.  Her work, explores the relationship between the material and immaterial to speak of identity and community, memory and time. 

Hannah Claus completed her undergraduate work at Ontario College of Art and Design (1997) and her

Master’s of Fine Art from Concordia University (2004). She sits on the board of the Aboriginal Curatorial Collective and has taught contemporary Indigenous art at Concordia University, McGill University and Kiuna Institute.  She is of mixed heritage (Euro-Canadian and Mohawk), and is a member of Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.  Hannah lives and works in Montreal.

Hannah also speaks in Art NOW on January 30 at noon in the University Recital Hall.
