Add Your Voice! On September 11th for the Launch of #IBelieveYou

Why “I Believe You”?

One of the common themes among sexual assault survivors is that they don’t disclose or get help out of fear of not being believed. It’s also one of the traps set by perpetrators—they tell their victims not to say anything because “no one will believe you.” Believing overcomes the guilt and shame that many survivors feel, and gives them the confidence and support to get help and find healing.

The Uleth Community has supported the #IBelieveYou Campaign for two years in a row. To see a video created by ORS for the 2016 Campaign: Click Here

ADD YOUR VOICE To Support Survivors of Sexual Assault

Believing is sweeping across Alberta.

Join the movement and show survivors that we stand with them.

Here’s how:

Step 1: Your voice, your choice!

Add your message of support any way you like:

• Take a selfie or photo

• Write or draw a message on our Graffiti wall (PE-First Choice Savings Center)

• Post a video

• Write a song

Step 2: Become part of the big picture:

Add your voice to the campaign by participating in our digital mosaic at IBelieveYou.info. OR just use the hashtag #IBelieveYou when posting your message to Twitter or Instagram.

Step 3: Spread the word & win:

Believing is sweeping across Alberta, but not everyone knows it. Be sure to tag friends and groups so they can show their support, too! Enter our Instagram contest @aasas_ab and you could win First Responder to Sexual Assault and Abuse Training for you and a friend.
