Grab your lunch and join us for a screening of the first episode of the Amplify series, featuring Métis/Cree singer-songwriter Cheryl L’Hirondelle and Potawatomi author Robin Kimmerer.

In this beautifully shot 23-minute documentary, L’Hirondelle shares how Kimmerer’s book Braiding Sweetgrass inspired her music-making, while Kimmerer reads from her book and discusses some of the main ideas that shaped her thinking.

The screening will be followed by an open discussion of the connections between Braiding Sweetgrass and arts-based practices.

This event is taking place as part of Indigenous Awareness Week.
