9.00 a.m. Left by Underground Railway for the TOWER OF LONDON (Tower Station) where special arrangements were made and members were welcomed by the Major and Resident Governor, Colonel E. H. Carkeet James, O.B.E., M.C. Lunch was in the Tower Restaurant.

At 1.45 p.m. by invitation of the PORT OF LONDON AUTHORITY members embarked on a special steamer for a tour of the London Docks. Tea was served on board as the guests of the Port of London Authority.

The Tower of London (above) and Tower Bridge (below) were revisited 46 years later.

7.30 p.m. Special Theatre Evening at the Palace Theatre for a performance of THE GLORIOUS DAYS, with Anna Neagle.
