While the programme was yet on the press, the sad word was received that Martin Holmes had died during an under-water swimming race shortly after his return to Canada. He had, in the best tradition of his family, as evidenced by his father in time of war, "held on" too long. The many friends Martin made during the past summer, including the members of the Staff, will remember him with affection and with admiration for the boy he was.
