October 28, 2005 — Tauberbischofsheim - Rothenburg

Early this morning the ship left Karlstadt but we took a drive along the "Romantic Road" through charming German villages exploring some of Europes most perfect medieval towns. At Tauberbischofsheim we had a walkiing tour through town past the marketplace to the old Bonehouse where those who died in the 1939-1945 war are now remembered.. We worked our way back to the bus on our own then boarded the coach to continue our journey.

At Rothenburg time seemed to have stood still, with its imposing town hall, medieval fortifications, century old cathedrals and enchanting half timber houses - all witnesses to the towns imperial past. After some time snooping around on our own we boarded our coach for the ride back to our ship.

After reboarding the ship sailed for Schweinfort where we spent the night.
