Dual Degrees

a.Bachelor of Management (B.Mgt.)/Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)

The dual degree program with Bond University combines the B.Mgt. program with a general management major from the University of Lethbridge, Dhillon School of Business, and the LL.B. in Canadian Law from Bond University, Faculty of Law, in Queensland, Australia. Students in this program complete the Canadian Law program at Bond University and are eligible to apply to practice law in Canada.

Within this dual degree program, students first complete 20 courses (60.0 credit hours) at the University of Lethbridge towards a B.Mgt. degree with a General Management major. Upon completion of a minimum of 20 courses (60.0 credit hours) with Good Standing at the University of Lethbridge, students are eligible to apply to Bond University for the LL.B. portion of the dual degree for the equivalent of 24 courses (72.0 credit hours or 240 credit points at Bond University) and subsequently return to complete an additional 10 courses (30.0 credit hours) at the University of Lethbridge to complete the B.Mgt. program requirements. Students will be awarded both degrees – B.Mgt. with a General Management major from the University of Lethbridge and LL.B. from Bond University – upon successful completion of all requirements for both programs.

Requirements for the Bachelor of Management (B.Mgt.) Degree – General Management

The Dhillon School of Business offers courses in the following subject areas: Accounting (ACCT), Agricultural Enterprise Management (AGEM), Finance (FINC), Human Resources and Labour Relations (HRLR), Indigenous Governance and Business Management (IGBM), International Management (IMGT), Management (MGT), and Marketing (MKTG).

Students are strongly recommended to consult program planning materials, and complete certain courses in the recommended terms, to graduate on schedule.

1.General Requirements

a.Successful completion of at least 30 courses (90.0 credit hours) with a cumulative GPA and graduation GPA of at least 2.00. The B.Mgt. and the LL.B. will only be awarded upon successful completion of the entire 54-course program.

b.A minimum grade of 'C-' is required in all Dhillon School of Business courses and courses cross-listed with Dhillon School of Business courses; and when required Economics 1010; Economics 1012; Statistics 1770; Writing 1000 or English 1900; and all courses in the major marked with an asterisk (*).

c.Completion of three courses from Lists I, II and III for the Liberal Education List Requirement (see School of Liberal Education, Liberal Education List Requirement).

d.Residence requirement: at least 20 courses (60.0 credit hours) must be completed at the University of Lethbridge, including 10 Dhillon School of Business courses at the 3000 or 4000 level.

e.Students must also meet the academic standards, program requirements, and graduation requirements according to the regulations set by the Dhillon School of Business, and as outlined in the Calendar.
