| At Kenyon Field, Lethbridge on May 6, 1940 building started on the wartime home of No. 5 Elementary Flying Training School. Flying here was largely with Tiger Moths. | |||||||||

| Later, wind conditions caused No. 5 Elementary Flying Training School to be moved to High River and Lethbridge became the home of No. 8 Bombing & Gunnery School with its focus on Anson, Battle, Lysander and Bolingbroke airplanes. | |||||||||
