The above photograph was sent to the Historical Research Centre in 1992. A note sent with the picture said we think we have a repair organized but so far as I know there is no progress so far.

In answer to our above request Dr. Jaap Jasperse of the Royal Society of New Zealand made a trip to the site of Hector's grave in late 1996 to see what progress had been made.
