Leaving Lethbridge mid day we arrived in Calgary where we did the proverbial long wait for our journey to Seattle. With reservations at the Airport Hotel we naively expected a standout hotel at the airport. We discovered there were many airport hotels — none of which were at the airport.

With our reservations packed deeply there was little chance of a quick retrieval as to which pickup van we should board. The name Hilton came to mind (Was it because of Paris?) Fortunately it turned out to be correct.

Yep -- Ma & Pa Kettle got to the big city.
