November 5, 2005 — Budapest

Again a great sunrise, as we floated towards Budapest, Hungary.. Our sun roof disappearing told us there was another safety drill coming. but we were soon back to sightseeing.

The ship made a grand entrance into Budapest, an elegant city that spans the banks of the Danube for eight miles. Connected by seven bridges, the ancient city of Buda and the more modern Pest offer fine architectural treasures steeped in history.

After lunch our buses left for a city tour. We stopped at Hero's Square and then our coaches were off again stopping at St. Stephans Basilica, then up to the Buda Castle district for some night viewing and supplies.

Back at the ship it was soon time for the Captain's cocktail and dinner.
