Arrived LIVERPOOL by s.s. "EMPRESS OF FRANCE"

Delivered to Canadian Pacific in 1928 as the Duchess of Bedford, she was renamed in 1947. Sold for scrap in 1960.
I remember seasickness — lots of food and entertainment. But where did I get that swizzle stick?

Following our arrival at Liverpool we passed through Chester and after visiting Warwick Castle arrived at GRANGE FARM CAMP, Chigwell, Essex, our home for our London stay.

Would you like to visit Warwick Castle?

Tea was taken at the Lord Leycester Hotel less than a quarter of a mile from the world famous castle.

The Lord Leycester Hotel is steeped in history.

In the 18th Century it housed the Three Tons Inn and in the 19th Century was an elegant Georgian town house.

In 1925 The Lord Leycester Hotel was founded. Since that time the hotel has been a focus of Warwick's social life, including when it was an American Officers club during the Second World War.
