The Spring 2022 Semester has started and we wanted to provide you with some updates.
HOURS OF OPERATION
Starting January 5, the University Library’s general hours of operation are as follows:

24-HOUR STUDY SPACE
The University Library’s 24-hour study space will be available after staffed hours.
The space on level 10 north of the Library can be accessed via the Library’s main entrance during staffed hours. The 24-hour space will be accessible after hours via the sliding doors to the left of the entrance.
Comments and suggestions can be submitted via our physical suggestion box at the Library Services Desk during operational hours or online.
The space provides seating for more than 200 individuals amongst available study carrels, lounge seating, tables, and group workrooms. Other amenities and services include:
HEALTH & SAFETY
University Library users are expected to be masked and vaccinated when visiting.
Throughout the Library, patrons can find self-cleaning/sanitizing stations to clean their study space.

EATING IN THE LIBRARY
For the time being, no food is allowed in the Library. Please consume meals in areas such as the Urban Market and ULSU food court.
This measure will be re-evaluated after January 21.
ONLINE LEARNING & RESEARCH RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS

BORROWING
Lethbridge & Area. The University Library will continue to provide the lending of materials from collections and the Faculty of Education’s Curriculum Laboratory for Lethbridge-and-area members of the University Community (academic staff, staff, and students). For service details and requesting instructions, click here.
DISTANCE PATRONS. Due to the move to online delivery of courses until January 21, the University Library provides FREE distance delivery to members of the University Community that reside farther than 90km from the radius of Lethbridge and reside in Canada. The provision of this service will be re-evaluated pending decisions about the delivery of courses after January 21.
RETURNS & RECALLS
If you want to return items to the University Library, available options include:
We understand there may be exceptional reasons why you cannot return materials at this time though. Please contact us at gsd.library@uleth.ca for accommodation options.
COURSES & WORKSHOPS
Fine Arts 5020 (Information Literacy for the Fine Arts) and Library Science 2000 (Library Research and Information Systems) credit courses are being offered this semester.
For non-credit workshop opportunities, follow our social media accounts (Instagram, and/or Twitter), browse our Events Calendar, or the Project Sandbox site. Many of the Library’s non-credit workshop opportunities can be applied to your MyExperience transcript.
BOOKSTORE
The University Library is not formally associated with the university’s Bookstore—but we really do appreciate our colleagues. If you have questions related to Bookstore purchases, services, etc., click here to contact them.
