The University of Lethbridge is committed to providing a healthy, safety and respectful work and learning environment and commits to a workplace free of harassment and violence for its campus community.
The University’s Workplace Violence Policy supports supervisors and employees in prevention, intervention and leadership with respect to workplace violence. University departments are required to complete a Workplace Violence Risk Assessment:
(a) At least every 5 years;
(b) Where the Supervisor and/or Senior Officer becomes aware of a type of violence occurring in similar workplaces that was not considered when the existing assessment was conducted;
(c) When there is a significant change in the workplace such as the circumstances in which work takes place, the interactions that occur in the course of performing work, the physical location or layout of the workplace, such as renovations or new construction.
