The University provides first aid equipment and supplies so that Designated First Aiders can assist an injured/ill person. First Aid kits, AEDs and emergency eyewash/shower stations are located throughout campus.
Know the locations of the following in your area:

First Aid Kits – available in common gathering areas such as atriums, near elevators, and within individual departments throughout campus. The University provides the initial first aid kit and departments are responsible for maintaining them. Details about first aid kit contents and maintenance is provided in the UofL First Aid Program Manual or contact Safety Services.

Automated External Defibrillators (AED) - located in various locations throughout campus. A list of AED locations is available HERE

Emergency showers/eye wash stations – provided in areas where exposure to substances harmful to eyes/skin may occur. The Emergency Eyewash & Shower Standard defines requirements for installation, maintenance and use. The Emergency Eyewash Maintenance Record is to be used for documenting weekly eyewash maintenance.
