Working from local to global, and assessing change over time, population research with the Institute involves the study of demography and the life course of various sub-populations.
The focus area of population involves research on the impacts changing human populations have on their social, environmental and economic milieu. Population research also considers those changes and impacts across space and time horizons. Population research primarily looks at mobility, rather than issues of birth rates, and aging.
