Safe Disposal of Broken Glass

SAFE DISPOSAL OF GLASS AND SHARP MATERIALS

In order to reduce the risk of injury by sharps, the following should be considered for proper waste disposal methods:

  •  Any sharp object that is discarded into garbage cans has the potential for injury.

  • Do not inadvertently discard sharp objects; be aware of what you discard.

Condolence Notice — Vera Ferguson

The University of Lethbridge extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Vera Ferguson who passed away on June 30 in Vancouver at the age of 95.

Ferguson served on the University of Lethbridge Senate from 1977 to 1983 and she was also a popular, longtime city councillor. She was first elected in 1968 and advocated for preservation of the London Road area, the railway relocation and she backed the city’s bid to host the 1975 Canada Winter Games.

The U of L will lower its flag Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17, in honour of Ferguson.
