Diego Palacios Dávila began his piano studies at the age of 8 and his performance also focuses on composition. His works include academic works, for different instruments, among solo works for piano, chamber ensembles and symphonic orchestra, with an accentuated treatment of the piano, of which he is an interpreter.

As a pianist, he has performed concerts in different stages of the city of San Juan de Pasto, such as Imperial Theater, Bank of the Republic, Auditorium Luis Santander Auditorium University of Nariño, Javier Fajardo Auditorium Department of Music of the University of Nariño, Valle de Atriz Club Colombia Hall, Javeriano Theater, among others; in Bogotá at the Luis Ángel Arango Concert Hall; in Zipaquirá (Cundinamarca - Colombia) at the Bicentennial Theater; in the United States, at the Summit Hotel and at The Huntley Shoshone Condominium Hotel at Big Sky Resort (Big Sky City, Montana); in Mexico, at the Ibargüengoitia Auditorium at the University of Guanajuato, city of León.

His work as accompanist pianist has been of great importance, accompanying soloists of different instruments, as well as, accompanist of the Symphony Orchestra of the University of Nariño and pianist in the "first meeting of Children and Youth Symphony Orchestras" held in San Juan de Pasto, in the assembly directed by Maestro Tristán Malbrán (Argentina). In the same way, as a pianist at the regional premiere of CARMINA BURANA, in the orchestral version and the piano - percussion - chorus version.

His facet as a researcher begins with the post-graduate study, in which he focuses his efforts on improving through a rigorous study, the piano area, proposing a relevant curriculum for each semester where said subject is offered.

He is currently linked by contest as a full-time professor in the area of ​​piano, in the Bachelor of Music program at the University of Nariño in Colombia.
