Found the depot in a valley beside a beautiful running stream coming down the mountain. Capt. A. East. Crompton & Scouts at depot ready t start w. tomorrow morning.Capt. Cameron turned up about 11:30 with A mail, part from Benton & part from Dufferin.

He had camped near us last night.

Cactus scarcely appears at all in this neighbourhood of the Buttes & the indications are that
