The Visitor Center offers a basic orientation program and exhibit after exhibit which has changed over the years that I have visited the site.

Outside a view of the attack route and surrounding landscape shows little has changed

Self-guiding tours take you to many points of the battleground. A short drive to the lower parking area connects with foot trails to the Nez Perce Camp and areas where the fighting took place. Here you will discover who fought and who died where,

At the Howitzer Capture Site high on the hill the gun was was dismantled. Today it graces the entrance way to the interpretive centre
