With a growing family, I was forced to look for something a little bigger and my preference for the feel of European cars lead me to a 1964 Volvo station wagon, Advertised as the ultimate meld of a sports car and utility vehicle (does this sound familiar) Iwas sold. This work horse lasted until the late 1970's when it was sold to a hippie.
Our first venture into the world of Honda was in 1978 with a Civic CVCC. That special CVCC engine turned out to be the only major disappointment we had in our Japanese experience. It failed and was replaced with an Accord engine.
Ten years later we again went for a little Honda hatchback. Struck by how trouble free they had become, we also invested in our Honda Accord EXi. (OK - it wasn't a small car but here's the page I made up when we decided to sell it in 2004.
