The Fall 2020 semester is fast approaching, so we wanted to provide you with some updates about the University Library’s services and spaces.
STUDY SPACE
The Library Information Network Centre (LINC), which includes the University Library remains closed to general access. Please view the Fall 2020 Update: FAQ for Students for updates on study space and other services on campus.
ONLINE LEARNING & RESEARCH RESOURCES FOR STUDENTS
Click here for a directory of online resources provided by the Library that includes, but is not limited to: live chat and research support, digital collections, interlibrary loan services, technology support, Library social media, and more.
For online assistance and research support, use our Ask Us suite of services.
BORROWING
The University Library will continue to provide the lending of materials from select collections and the Faculty of Education’s Curriculum Laboratory for Lethbridge-and-area members of the University Community (academic staff, staff, and students). For service details and requesting instructions, click here.
The University Library will not be able to provide lending to community, CURBA, and The Alberta Library patrons at this time.
RETURNS
If you want to return items to the library, there are a few different options available, which includes:
RECALLS
The University of Lethbridge’s Lethbridge Campus remains closed to general access that includes the University Library. At this time, we cannot recall items requested by patrons. We recommend that you submit an interlibrary loan request for resources that are currently being borrowed by patrons.
Items that are currently on loan, will have their due dates extended until January 15, 2020.
DISTANCE PATRONS
We are not currently able to provide this service to our patrons outside the Lethbridge area and Calgary Campus. Please submit requests for articles and book chapters to our Interlibrary Loans service. A reply to your request will be sent to your @uleth.ca email account, if the material you are requesting is available. We continue to explore distance delivery options.
ALBERTA LIBRARY CARD
The Alberta Library (TAL) Card will be mailed upon request by contacting lib.illo@uleth.ca. Please contact your local member of The Alberta Library to verify their level of service (i.e., lending policies, hours of operation, etc.).
