HR Consulting Services

Payroll Services

The Payroll Services department provides all university employees across all campuses, their financial compensation. Payroll Services department is available to explain all questions that arise dealing with pay (deductions) and/or leave balances. The goal of the department is to always follow proper procedures, all the while treating all individuals with the respect that they deserve. Our team of dedicated payroll specialists, pride themselves on the accuracy and timeliness of their work.

Pension & Benefits

Pension & Benefits programs are a significant part of your total compensation as a staff member of the University of Lethbridge. Eligibility for pension and benefits for staff members are determined based on employment category, which may include: Extended Health, Out-of-Province Emergency Travel coverage, Dental, Life Insurance, Income Protection for disability, a 24-hour Employee and Family Assistance Plan, one of two defined benefit Pension Plans and a generous Health and Wellness spending account. Services we provide include benefit orientation and enrollment, pension program administration and retirement assistance, benefits program (Blue Cross & Great-West Life) management and administration, and consultation on termination of employment.

Wellness & Recognition

The Wellness & Recognition department provides support, assistance, and consultative services in regards to health and wellness, to departments and employees of the University of Lethbridge. The Wellness office develops and implements preventative health and wellness initiatives. The goal is to work together with colleagues and peers to provide a positive and balanced work environment for our staff.
