Located on the west end of the city of Lethbridge, every year at uLethbridge over 1000 students (New University Students and Continuing | Transfer | Mature Students) call on-campus housing home! Our facilities' common areas and hallways are cared for by our team of professional housekeeping and maintenance staff. Residents are in charge of cleaning their own rooms and suite areas.
On-Campus Housing offers fully furnished single-student units. Room rates include all utilities (electricity, gas, and water)and are based on an 8-month contract. Room fees listed are per bed / 4-month term payable at the beginning of each term. Dining Plan 8-month contracts must be paid in full at the beginning of each Academic Year. See Important Dates
University Hall (traditional style dorms), Kainai House, and Piikani House (apartments) are geared towards New University Students coming directly from high school or who have taken a gap year before attending post-secondary studies. New University Students living in University Hall, Kainai House, or Piikani House are automatically enrolled in a minimum Commuter Residence Dining Plan, with no option to "opt-out." This is a room and board program.
Residence Village (townhomes), Mt. Blakiston House (apartments), Siksika House, and Tsuu T’ina House (townhomes) are reserved for Continuing | Transfer | Mature Students. All bedrooms in Aperture Park are single occupancy.
Most residence facilities are equipped with recreational rooms and study spaces. On-site laundry facilities using the blackboard coinless system are available in University Hall, Kainai House, Piikani House, and Mt Blakiston House. Coin-operated laundry machines remain in use in Paterson Centre, Tsuu T’ina & Siksika House. See Laundry
What’s in the name? To honour the relationships with local First Nations communities, the early student housing developments at uLethbridge are named after some of the Nations who are signatories of Treaty 7, signed September 22, 1877. The communities are Kainai, Piikani, Siksika, and Tsuu T’ina.
