Accessing campus

Vaccine requirements

Once you are fully vaccinated, submit your information to the uLethbridge Safe app or website.

Lethbridge Campus

Starting November 1, 2021, all students, faculty and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to access the Lethbridge Campus.

Calgary Campus

Following Bow Valley College guidelines, all Calgary Campus students and employees must be fully vaccinated to access the Calgary Campus.

You are considered fully vaccinated:
  • 14 days after receiving the recommended number of doses of a Health Canada approved vaccine, OR
  • 14 days after receiving one dose of a Health Canada approved mRNA vaccine in addition to a non-Health Canada approved vaccine (e.g. Sinovac, Sinopharm, Gamalaya, Bharat Biotech, etc.).

If you have a legitimate exemption to vaccination (medical or protected under the Alberta Human Rights Act):

Every time you come to campus

Applies to: students, faculty, staff

You must be approved to come to campus by providing a negative rapid test result every 72 hours via the uLethbridge Safe app.

If you have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, you can verify your vaccination status on the uLethbridge Safe app and be exempt from the rapid testing requirements.

Note: The rapid testing program will not be available once vaccination requirements begin on November 1.

Outdoor spaces on campus are available to all, but physical distancing requirements are in place.
Remember to wear a mask inside campus buildings. Rules about masks can be found here.

Whether you are using the gym, helping your student get moved in, or going to your child's ballet class, you are still welcome on campus!

Contractors and sponsored visitors will be given instructions as part of safety discussions before coming to campus.

Vaccine requirements begin November 1

It is expected the Alberta government will be implementing a proof of vaccination system shortly. This new tool will provide the University a greater ability to ensure our community patrons, over 12 years of age, are able to demonstrate full vaccination when they arrive on campus. The requirement to be vaccinated will be in effect for all programs and events, including meetings, sporting events and cultural activities such as performances or concerts.

Details on how the new requirement will affect events and community access will be shared here when they become available.
