Writing Centre

Book an appointment online: Go to moodle.uleth.ca and click the ‘Calgary Campus Writing Centre’ page to see the available appointments and to book a time. Instructions can be accessed on the Writing Centre Moodle page if you are unsure on how to book a virtual appointment.
 
The Writing Centre will provide free 1-to-1 e-tutoring consultations with trained academic writing tutors for students, and will offer practical writing support to help students better develop their academic writing skills.  The Writing Centre can help students with the writing process, strategies to write more effectively, improve on essay structure, paragraph development, sentence structure, style, grammar, and punctuation. Students can also learn how to properly document sources and avoid plagiarism.

uLethbridge Calgary campus students have access to Library Services through the Bow Valley College Library and Learning Commons. This includes: access to computers and the internet; ability to borrow books, journals, DVDs, and access online resources; use group study and media workrooms; access computer workshops, computer tutorials and other services. Students need to bring their valid Student ID to use the library.

Through the Student Success Centre, students can access resources to assist with studying and exam preparation. This includes suggestions and best practices for improving your grades through better note taking, exam taking and preparation, time management and other academic strategies and assistance that can be applied to all courses in all disciplines.

Feeling overwhelmed with your coursework? Tutoring Services provides uLethbridge students with the opportunity to access group and personal tutoring for many 1000 and 2000 level courses. Calgary campus students can request tutoring through the Lethbridge campus and will be matched with a tutor who is also based in Calgary.  Students are encouraged to contact Tutoring Services to request assistance with a specific course either prior to the start of the semester or during the first few weeks of the term.
