Each year, the Government of the People's Republic of China awards scholarships to Albertans interested in studying and researching in China, through the China Government Scholarship (CGS) program.
Alberta high school graduates, post-secondary students and scholars wishing to undertake Chinese language studies, academic study at the undergraduate or graduate level, or research are eligible to apply for CGS awards. While the language of instruction is primarily Chinese, some Chinese universities do offer programs taught in English.
