Theory

Poetry arrests our attention, startles us with beauty, with truth, with meaning. It illuminates our understanding, and engenders a mindful concentration that few other forms of language do. Poetry is a crystallization of thought, experience, and magnification of consciousness and being. Poetry can provide a sanctuary set apart from daily life where we notice existence, explore uncluttered relationship, and encounter our deepest feelings.
