Using First Nations Literature in the Classroom

Description: Published by the Saskatoon Public School District, this site can be used to explore oral traditions, folklore, and storytelling in first nations literature. Also included are suggestions for final projects and a list of suggested literature. The site is aimed at earlier grades, however, the children's literature suggested can still be useful in a high school classroom. Plus, the structure of this unit can be used to explore any culture's literary roots.
